Ashirion and Trade

I've been asked to make this particular file since a few of the new characters are traders or have hopes of being such. A few things you should know about the current Trade situation in Ashirion, specifically Kelbarden.

A lot of trade is conducted via Windship, these gigantic vessels are not uncommon a sight over the skies of big cities like Ruatha, unloading cargo at the Windship Tower and then soaring off again to vanish into the gigantic Skygate that hovers miles above the ground. The Skygate cannot be seen by normal eyes, but it is there.

Trade also arrives via cargo ship at the Port itself.

Carts can be expected at all times through the North Gate, but at this moment in time, the South Gate is considered suspicious as anyone who enters by it from Geist or other areas, would have to pass through Greymyre Hill. Or risk a dangerous trek through the Mountains.

Other Shard Trade is conducted in pretty much the same way, exclusively using Windships and Skygates, goods are exported and imported freely across the various lands of Ashirion and at this time there is no problem with the Skygate network.

At this moment in time, folk do not enter by the South Gate unless they are adventurers or travellers who have braved the dangerous lands to the South. So at any time people can expect a trickle, if that, from the South Gate, with most entering by the North or even by Sea.
