Ashirion was once just a gleam in the darkness of space, until the breath of the Great Wolf ignited the spark of life and forged a world from the icy core of a dying ember. Upon this world he set the first of his creations, those who would be known as the Shakari, wolves of Ashirion. They enjoyed a peaceful time of it until the other races came, some created by foreign gods who petitioned the Great Wolf to allow their people to settle on his world.
The harmony was shattered by the humans, the elves and others, they began to expand and create communities. They drove the wolves from their homelands and hunted them, called them monsters. In response to this, the Great Wolf gifted his people with the shape of man or elf, to allow them to talk to the others, when diplomacy failed he gave them a form to allow them to stand head and shoulders taller in battle.
Eventually peace reigned until a renegade trio of Shakari broke from the pack; they brought the world to its knees and during a terrible battle sundered it. It became a Broken Sphere, disconnected from other worlds and almost lost if it were not for the actions of a single mage, Serbannen. He tied the Waystones to the various shards and prevented the planet from breaking up.
Ashirion is a dark high-fantasy world where things that have lain in wait for centuries, if not more, lurk behind the veil of creation. It has seen thousands of years of war, torment, betrayal and heroic deeds performed by legend and commoner alike. Now the City of Ruatha, shining gem of the largest shard, Kelbarden, stands against the coming darkness once more. The Queen Nennuir, the Warmaster Ronin and the various factions all know that this time the fourth and final war will change their world forever, just as the Sundering did.
Ashirion is a world where magic meets the technology of the scheming Iltyr, where even the lowliest serf might rise above their station. It is a roleplaying game Mux that relies upon a low-level of code and the skill of its players to thrive. Ashirion is open to experienced and new players alike, there are no mobs of monsters nor are their hoards of treasure to find. You advance through the skill of portraying your character.
The world around you evolves, it does not stand still and your enemies are legion.
