High Magic and Theme

In a conversation with one or two players I decided to make yet another one of the set in stone statements I often do, this one's probably going to be long so I'll probably end up making it in sections. We'll see. Ashirion is not a normal world, it's not even normal by Tolkien Standards, a lot of the players here can get powerful Characters eventually and you're going to meet all kinds, Dragons, even if you're lucky the Ashirion themselves. If High Magic of this kind disturbs you or you don't like it then Ashirion might not be the place for you, for it is indeed a High Magic World.

You'll find that the +prove command has been created for your characters safety and to safeguard against powergaming, because the RP-Staff and myself LOATHE it, utterly. Do not mistake a high powered confrontation by long running characters for powergaming. You can always politely ask the people in the scene to use the +prove command to prove their veracity. Remeber +prove is your friend and theirs. The use of a consented +prove power on you is not powergaming and should therefore not be taken as such.

We urge you to always use the +prove command when you use a special power unless you know those in the scene and they know you, if in doubt use it and +prove it.

If you are still unsure please feel free to page a member of the RP Staff for help or myself and call for a ruling or judgement, as I said the Staff here do not approve of powergaming in any shape or form, but ICA=ICC and if you piss of a powerful NPC or PC expect them to react and they won't be using kid-gloves most of the time.

That said, enjoy yourselves, and look into the stories running here, there are high powered plots with powerful characters, and low powered plots as well, find a niche and slip into it.
