Half Elves
The Half Elves of the Broken Sphere are a strange paradox, neither fully one race or the other they sit somewhere just between the two. This means that often they're not trusted that well by both, but this does often depend on the races that they belong to. Yes they'll always be Half Elven though. But they can also be a different subrace of Elven. This list isn't exhaustive nor is it set in stone but it exists to provide you with some information on the kinds of possibilities for cross-breeding.
Note: Any Half Elven (Except for Human/Half Elf) or Hybrid race even through IC Pregnancy or other means, MUST be approved by the Admin beforehand. The Admin reserve the right to use the word: NO, this decision is final, any argument beyond this, will see the privaledge of playing such a creation - revoked, and further steps taken. This is after a number of complaints from my staff, that certain players don't understand the meaning of 'NO'...
Dwarves
Rare but possible, the logistics of this still escape me but it's obvious that step-ladders might well have been involved or one hell of a persistant Dwarf, maybe some climbing gear if the dwarf is male. Ahem, but seriously, these should be few and far between. The look of the resulting child should have the swarthyness of the Dwarf and probably the Angular nature of the Elf, the childbirth could be painful for the Dwarf Woman if the Child is more elven...I'll leave the rest up to you...*shudder*
Fae
Again Rare but highly possible, the child is going to share qualities from both races and probably ethereal good looks from the Fae. These should also be few and far between. Remember Half Elves share the qualities between the parentages.
Felin
These are going to have a light downy covering of fur and possibly a tail, but always share the cat-like qualities of the Felin parent, the eyes will be cat like, the ears will be slightly furry and tufted, the body will be lithe and muscled. They'll also lose a lot of their elven immunities to age and the like, becoming more like the Felin parent in those ways as well. Again these should not be too common.
Humans
The most common breed of Half Elf, these share a mixture of the Human and the Elf parent's qualities and looks, slightly more muscled than the regular elf they're still possessed of the pointed ears and angular features. These are all over the place and you should expect to see a lot of them around the humanised Cities etc.
Wolvren
These are so rare you could count them on the finger of a no-handed man, now it's not like they couldn't be compatible, but you have to understand something about the Wolvren. They'd rather cook you, eat you, than shag you. They're a foul and tribal society of degenerate wolf creatures that consider most Elves. A light snack. If one of these half breeds ever made it in the world it would be oddly enough like the Felin except with a slight amalgamation of Wolfish features with elven ones. Definitely furred and with longer ears, you're probably looking at a slightly less extreme version of Lon Chaney's Wolfman for looks. Ever see the end to the Howling, the female news reporter who gets sorta into that change and looks kind of cute. Oh and they're more than likely to be highly volatile and unstable. Good luck keeping one alive. They are VERY RARE!
Cattan
Due to the power of the Cat Lord no Half Cattan have ever been allowed to live, those who are not culled by the race itself are simply still born as the Cat Lord makes his ill feeling towards that idea known. The Cattan are a genetically pure and noble race, he wants nothing to do with sullying his people's line with inferior blood.
Foxlin
These are quite possible and for once actually have very little to distinguish themselves from proper Foxlin, they might not have as much fur, perhaps their eyes are more humanoid looking. Their ears are certainly much more pointed and streamlined than normal foxlins should be. Their muzzle is a lot longer and it's as though the elfin features have manifested onto the Foxlin's face. Foxlin could possibly come from the standard Human and Elven stock, but due to a 'Chance' factor in the Foxlin's genetic makeup - everything else simply fails, even via magic means, perhaps the Goddess' or God's hand are felt in this. This includes the subraces of elves, such as Winged Elves, who differ totally from the Elven genetic base.
There are No Shakari, Eldrin, or Dragonman Half Elves plain and simple.
AS for the rest of the Half Elf information, well the Half Elf people make their homes inside other cultures so the rest is really up to you, take a look at the other race files and see what takes your fancy. I'd expect you to pick from the Elven cultures and then pick apart both sides of the information, elven and felin for instance, always use your imagination but try and keep from going overboard.
